Easton & Miyah Arrive

On Saturday May 12, 2007, Michelle had a placental abruption, and had to have an emergency C-section even though the babies were only 29 weeks, and 2 days gestation. The C-section went well, but of course we ended up with two of the most tiniest babies ever. The lungs are doing especially well, and neither baby is or has really ever been on oxygen so far. The doctors were amazed at how well developed the lungs on these babies were. The babies heads have been checked for blood on the brain, and Miyah came out completely clear. Easton had a trace of blood, but the doctors feel the amount is pretty insignificant. Right now the only problem the babies are having, is with their digestive systems. The babies are not eating and eliminating food right. They took them in for testing today, and we will know more later. Easton has two hernias which will eventually need to be removed, however this is something that does not need to be done till much later when he is bigger. The surgery is out patient surgery, so again, not a real big deal. All and all we feel extremeley blessed with these little miracles, and we know they have been fighters from day 1. We continue to keep them in our hearts and prayers every second of the day, and know that even though we are no longer at the hospital with them, Heavenly Father is. Thanks to everyone who has prayed for our precious little angels.
